10 Canadian shops to buy rare plants online! From where they’re located to the reviews.
Okay, so this may come as a total surprise to you, but… did you know you can buy plants online?! It’s a wild world out there, friends! I’m as excited as you are. While we do have a pretty good little shop here that carries all sorts of beautiful plants, when I learned you can buy plants online… well, you know I fell down the rabbit hole!
My friend Brittany let me in on the secret that Etsy is an amazing place to buy plants online and so today we’re teaming up to share some posts all about that! She’s sharing some great tips on buying plants from Etsy and I’m rounding up 10 Canadian sellers that have awesome reviews.
These are listed in no particular order! As always, I’ve included affiliate links where possible- you can find all my policies right here.
I’ve also included all of my fave plants from these sellers in a list over on Etsy! You can check it out right here.
plant yvr
This shop has so many rad looking plants- the Hindu Rope caught my eye and being on the west coast, I’d probably opt for a shop that’s at this end of the country as well! Shipping costs are reasonable and they have so. many. great. reviews.
Plants and Pots CA
This little shop is from Ontario- it seems like all the shops we tracked down are either in the lower mainland (BC) or Ontario. This one has some rare plants and cuttings which look super cool. They also have amazing reviews.
Plants in Mind
This little shop mostly focuses on succulents and even cute succulent arrangements but also has other types of plants! It’s located in Vancouver and has glowing reviews as well.
Pilot Sprouts
This is another Ontario shop and has so many cute plants including lots of variegated varieties!
Twisted Roots Canada
Another west coast seller, this shop has really cool plant varieties. They also have amazing reviews (noticing a trend?).
Plants N Things CA
This is another shop out of Ontario who has such cool cuttings and plant babies- the shipping to get them to the west coast is more than some of the other sellers so if you’re out West, I’d skip this one though. Reviews are again, wonderful!
Greenhound Canada
This store is… not from Ontario or Vancouver?! It’s from Quebec! They have SO many amazing reviews from this year so I’d definitely trust this one. They even have a bluestar fern which is my newest plant baby (eucalyptus type colouring, it’s so unique!).
Junglespace
This west coast seller has some really awesome plants but also some little build your own terrarium kits that are so unique!
Wild Vines Nursery
This west coast shop has such nice branding (I’m a sucker for it!) and sells mostly tropicals. I’m loving the Ric Rac Cactus- it’s so fun!
Pretty Little Plantss
This is a newer shop so not a ton of reviews but all the ones they do have are excellent!
I hope this has been a fun post for you to start thinking about plants as one of the many ways to fuel your online shopping- ha! My cart is now full of plants and my husband is asking where I’m going to put them.
If you’d like some tips on buying plants from Etsy- make sure to hop over and check out my friend Brittany’s post right here!
And if you’d like to save some money and start propagating your own plants to keep you plant pots full… she also has a great post on how to propagate a pothos!
