I often get asked if I offer design services. As a busy mom with 4 kids and a DIY renovation of my own- I’ve always said no. But the more I chat with readers and friends working on their own projects, I’m realizing it’s not a full design service that most are asking for.
After helping design more than 50 spaces, I’ve been working towards a system to help you decide what you LOVE, what parts of that you’d like to replicate in your own space, how to visualize that for yourself and effectively communicate your vision. We’ll also discuss how you can go about DIY or hiring out with budget in mind.
How would a room makeover consult work?
Before the consult, I’d ask you to fill out an intake form. Take photos of your space, measurements, describe your pain points and start a private Pinterest board with specific instructions.
We’d meet for 1-2 hours to look at your space you’re dreaming of making over. We’d talk through the limitations and opportunities of the space itself, dream together, discuss and nail your style preference for the space, and talk about your options for DIY or hiring out.
After the consult, I’d take the information we chatted about send you a report and design you a mood board to help you share your vision with your family and help you shop, keeping on track for the space you love.
