I am thrilled to share with you my official maternity photos! Troi Crombie is a good friend and amazing photographer. When I found out I was pregnant, I called her right away to make sure she’d be in town at a time I could book her.
These photos were taken back in June which made me 24 weeks pregnant (5 months) but since it was twins, I definitely looked pregnant enough to make it worthwhile!
I shared a while back how I was stuck wanting both outdoor photos and lifestyle photos at home. The compromise was Troi do an outdoor session with Shane and I (her forte… if I do say so myself), and Shane and I would do the lifestyle type ones ourselves (You can check them out here! That’s me at 32 weeks).
We threw together a little picnic and took out at 6 in the morning (the goal was for sunrise, but in June… well nobody wants to get up at 3!). I love the light at that time in the morning… and Shane and I got a proper breakfast date afterwards- we usually aim to be at our breakfast dates for noon.
Another perk of the early start time? The furnace that was my pregnant body didn’t have to brave the midday summer sun. Win/Win.
I love how they turned out! The guitar series makes me smile and I really like looking back at this stage of my pregnancy. I was over the sickness, off work, but still mobile… it was wonderful.
I just wish Troi was closer so she could do a family session for us! Head on over and check out her blog… you won’t regret it.

Beautiful Photos. I had maternity photos done for both my pregnancies and loved it. I also of course had Newborn photos for both my boys and every year I endeavour to have a photoshoot for each one until they tell me to get lost! haha.

Thanks so much Maria! I am a sucker for photos documenting life. I was just talking to my hubby about getting new photos done this year before the holidays. And maybe getting some maternity shots at the same time! I’m not looking forward to the day my kiddos tell me to get lost with the camera ;)

Haha. That may be a while for both of us. I’m always in my boys faces with the camera. Locky my oldest just death stares me in the eyes and walks away. Think I may go a little overboard. Oh well! I’m soon to have a cake smash photoshoot for my baby who turns 1 in October. Can’t wait and of course can’t wait to put his birthday together!! I was thinking fall photos also and then Christmas with Santa of course! As you can see I’m a sucker also!! :D
