Get ready for turkey day with this free ‘it’s all gravy, baby’ SVG file to use for all of your Thanksgiving Crafting!
Over the years, I’ve shared some printable thankful cards and so many thanksgiving tablescapes that truly are lovely… but today?
This one is all about the fun. So if you’re looking for some unique SVG files… good news! You’re in the right place :)
While you could definitely use this gravy baby SVG file for DIY thanksgiving home decor or thanksgiving dinner invitation cards, it’s also totally fun day-to-day. It doesn’t need to be saved for Thanksgiving crafts! Because really, who doesn’t love gravy ;)
Since I created this, my kids of course asked… what does this mean?! I tried to explain it but honestly after a quick little search… Urban Dictionary weirdly did a more professional job of explaining it:
“In poorer times, to have gravy on your meal is a sign that you have sufficient meat and vegetables to make such a nice meal… “It’s all gravy” therefore means that there is an abundance of good things in the given circumstance.”
I basically explained that it’s like saying, ‘it’s all good from here on out’… like, anything from now on (or over and above) is a bonus. Ha! How would you explain it?
Alright so this ‘it’s all gravy, baby’ SVG is totally free for you to use for personal use.
I’ve hand lettered the design on my iPad in my favorite brush lettering style with playful little gravy splashes and then created an SVG out of it in Adobe Illustrator. If you’re interested in doing these yourself, you can check out my intro to hand lettering free training here!
This is just one of several awesome free Thanksgiving SVG files being shared today! I’ve included all of them at the bottom of this post some amazing graphic design blog friends of mine!
These free SVG cut files for Cricut or Silhouette will help you customize your Thanksgiving Holiday decor, wear or… cards! I’ve shared a bunch of ideas below if none of that sounds like your jam.

Once your gravy baby digital design is in your downloads folder, you can upload it to your Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio or whatever cutting software you are using.

HOW DO I UPLOAD my Free Cut Files TO CRICUT DESIGN SPACE?
Once you’ve downloaded your free SVG digital file, it’s time to upload it to your cutting machine software. I use my Cricut to cut out my SVG files, but you could also use your Silhouette or other brand of cutting machine. To upload an SVG file to Cricut Design Space is super straight forward.
Open up Cricut Design Space and start a new project. In the left hand panel, select ‘upload’ and search for your digital download. You can add a name to your file at this point then upload it and insert it into your project. That’s it.
An SVG file should have all the layers separated for you and Cricut reads all that information for you. This file is super simple so it really only needs the one layer.
It’s essentially scalable clip art with a transparent background. Playful but hella simple, just the way I like it ;)
If you’re new to uploading your own images to Cricut and would like more information on the different types of files (what are the different file formats for? Do I need an EPS file or a PNG file?!) you can cut with your Cricut, this video walks you through all the different types and how to upload them to Cricut Design Space to use them in your projects.
If you use this SVG to create something amazing… I would SO love to see! You can tag me @colleenpastoor on Instagram or shoot me an email colleen(at)lemonthistle(dot)com!
