So guys, Valentines Day is just around the corner! I know it’s not the biggest holiday, but perhaps it’s the cutest? So until February 14th, that’s what’s going to be happening here.
Today I have a super simple valentine card making party for you! It’s quick and easy to throw together, and was so much fun to get together as friends and craft like kids again. Plus… glitter. And lots of it.
This also solved one of my frustrations: I love sending cards and mail for every occasion… but we’ve covered that. Since the babes, I’ve been really awful at actually sending mail. I’ve pulled out lots of cards… even written in some. I’ve bought stamps. But do you think I could get that mail out the door? If I’m going to get anything done around here, I need to include someone else in my plan.
So here’s the details: Gather up your crafting supplies. I think it’s best to keep it basic, just have one type of card to make so you can enjoy the conversation. I picked up some ready to craft cards with envelopes, glue pens, and coordinating glitters. I put the glitters in mini cupcake liners to make it easy to shake over the glue.
I knew things would get messy so dressed up some paper with guests’ names to use to gather the glitter. I served some festive drinks and snacks (not in this picture) and pulled it together with a carnation centerpiece (I’ll be showing you how to make that later this week!).
I had so much fun crafting like kiddos- so much, that I don’t even mind showing you how much some of my valentines look like they were made by a 9 year old!
We joked that now we just need to make enough friends to send them all to. Pen-pals… you know what to expect!
Any reason to get together is a good one and Valentines Day is a great one. Now grab some friends and glitter like you’ve never seen the stuff before!

Guilty… I’m watching it too! This would be a great Bachelor night activity… maybe wine instead of juice though!
