I’ve hand lettered this free Easter Bunny SVG for you to use in your Easter crafting! Happy Easter is hand lettered in an easter bunny silhouette for a simple and modern two layer SVG.

As spring rolls around the corner, I’m planning some crafty projects to decorate for the season. I love to decorate seasonally without adding clutter (are you tired of hearing me say that yet?). So swapping out tea towels in the kitchen or pillow covers in the living room instead of adding more decor on surfaces is my kind of holiday craft these days.
I illustrated this easter bunny silhouette as an update on this easter tea towel I made years back. I added a hand lettered ‘happy easter’ inside the bunny and love how simple but modern this is. You could totally add a pom pom tail to this bunny just like I did on that old towel, but for today… I kept it simple.
You could use this free Easter SVG for pretty much any project. It would be perfect for a simple no-sew pennant, a DIY wooden easter sign, or an easter shirt for your little ones.
How to download the free easter bunny SVG
I’ve made downloading free SVGs from Lemon Thistle super easy, just enter your email in the form below and I will send you the file. The SVG file is compressed in a .zip file. When you click the link in the email, some browsers will automatically start the download, others you will need to right click and save the file.
Once the file is saved on your computer, you can double click to ‘unzip’ the file and you will see a folder with your SVG file inside. That’s ready to upload to Cricut!
Like all of my free downloads on Lemon Thistle, this design is for personal use only. Use it to make projects for yourself, your friends or your classroom but it cannot be used for products you plan to sell or to modify and redistribute the file in any way.
How to use the free easter bunny SVG in cricut designs
To upload your own design to Cricut design space is super simple for an SVG file. After you open Cricut Design Space and start a new canvas, you can click upload in the left hand panel and then select your file. It will likely be in your downloads folder.
It will automatically select ‘cut only’ image for you, just confirm this and it’s uploaded to your image gallery! Select and insert it onto your canvas.
If you’d like more information on uploading different file types, I have a full ‘uploading your own designs to cricut design space’ tutorial you can check out.
This handlettered free easter bunny svg is designed in two layers. You can see the layers in the panel to the right of your canvas. If you’d like to have different color lettering than the outline… easy! If you’d like to cut just the outline or just the lettering… easy!
But if you only want to weed one cut, there’s one more button to push before you hit ‘make it’. Select both of the layers and click combine>weld. This will make both layers into one layer so you can cut it all out in one solid layer. Simple!
That’s what I’ve done for this tea towel that I’ve cut from every day iron on in a solid black. I use these flour sack tea towels for my DIY tea towels and like to have them for each season.
