Can you believe it’s time to start planning for Halloween already? The first year (okay, maybe two… maybe still) of blogging I felt like I was SO late to the punch. Because if you want to do a project for a holiday and you want other people to see it so they can try it out before that holiday passes… you have to post it early. So you have to start thinking about that holiday and creating for that holiday SUPER early. I’m that nut that is asking the florist for Christmas greenery in September and trying to find Valentines Day props in December. This is especially true if I’m working with a brand or another blogger on a post.
I got busy creating this printable to show how-to letter with this ghostly watercolor technique- I’m sharing that over at Dawn Nicole Designs today. And since I was creating the tutorial, I had to have this in to her in August. Pumpkins and ghostly quotes in AUGUST! And that’s pretty reasonable, this was actually the second Halloween post that was due for me (can you believe it?!). Anyways… I’m not publishing it in August, so I’m not the crazy one. It’s just all bloggers. We’re all crazy.
Anyways! I really love how this halloween printable turned out. I had so much fun experimenting with this watery ghostly technique. I don’t even know what a ‘ghostly good time’ would look like, but I want to have it. And I want you to have it too.
I decided to offer this one on both a white background, as it was lettered, and on a chalkboard background… because Halloween LOVES black, am I right? And even though I’m usually a die hard black on white fan… I’m leaning towards using the chalkboard one for Halloween this year!
I really love printables (especially the 8×10 variety) for holiday decor since all I need to do to look like I’ve ‘decorated’ is switch out one of my usual photos. Easy peasy. So if you’re feeling in the mood to add some spooky elements to your home in time for halloween, snag this halloween printable, print it out, and pop it in a frame. Then sit down with your coffee/wine/mocktail and feel like you’ve done good, because you have, friend.

Love it! Thanks. I’m going to throw a little Halloween kids craft party for my seven year old this year and this will be a great decoration for that. Thanks so much!

I love that I didn’t have to use much ink and the design is perfect. Thank you ☺️
