The snow is finally melting (again, we like to have fake spring here) and the sun isn’t setting before dinner and that makes me SO excited for spring! This winter has just felt LONG. I’m planning on getting my house all spring cleaned and maybe even decorated for spring a little early this year because I really can’t wait. Also, no one is coming over to question me ;)

In preparation for that spring decorating, I’ve joined forces with some amazing bloggers to share some spring free printables as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Spring series! You can see all their printables at the bottom of this post, but let’s talk about mine! I’m actually sharing two today- not just one, because over on Instagram (are you following me yet?), I took a poll and so many people said they like to hang their printables in pairs or in a gallery wall. So since I was already creating one, I thought why not make a second!

These pieces are inspired by the art I made for my bathroom makeover, but with a touch of hand lettering. I love how beautifully hand lettering a quote or phrase can make a piece of art seasonal. I didn’t have any two matching frames in the right size since I broke one of my favourite brass ones (see those here) so tried them both in this one just on my mantel. I think I prefer the Bloom Where You’re Planted one best over the Hello Spring one. It turns out these two phrases are super popular for spring printables, they each come up again in the collection of free spring printables down below!

I’ve been loving simple line art illustrations and playing with single line drawings like these flowers has been so fun. Have you tried it? The challenge is to keep your pen on the paper the whole time you make the drawing. It’s so fun!

This free modern spring printable duo is in PDF format to make it easy for you to print for an 8×10 frame. If your printer is like mine and prints stripes where you should have even colour, you’ll want to send it to a print shop (I use staples). You can see the difference in this photo (above).
