Sharing our cozy modern fall home tour full of pumpkins, flowers, and modern minimal decor for autumn.
Welcome back to my home! Today I’m excited to be sharing not only my home all decorated for fall but this week I’ve partnered with so many wonderful bloggers who are sharing theirs as well as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Series. You can see them all at the bottom of this post. If you’re taking the tour in order and you’re joining from House by Hoff... welcome!
In this tour I’m sharing the main floor of our home, our entry, living room, kitchen, dining and primary bedroom. I love to add small touches of fall decor without adding clutter to our home. I love neutral colours, lots of texture and definitely some florals. And pumpkins. You can’t have fall without pumpkins ;)
The funny thing about blogging is that you’re working ahead of normal decorating schedules, I was hunting for pumpkins before any stores around me had them, but this year my neighbour had one on her front step before me so I didn’t feel crazy looking for pumpkins so early this time around. The dusty greenish blue pumpkins are my favourite. I tried to grow some myself this year but planted them too late in the season. I’ve kept some seeds for next year and will try again!
Speaking of seeds… all the flowers you see were grown in my garden- most from seeds! It was my first year starting seeds early and I’ve been so happy with the blooms the garden has given! I’m really into the deep purply red flowers for fall, they pair perfectly with dried grasses and pumpkins! I’ve been so into dried florals and grasses this fall- you can see them added to every flower arrangement and in every room!
I mention this every home tour, but I definitely prefer less seasonal decor for most seasons. Our house is chaotic enough with 4 kids and having clear surfaces helps me feel more at peace in our space. Plus, a clear surface to set down your coffee cup is always a good idea ;) So other than pumpkins and flowers… I don’t do much for decorating.
I actually have a small bin of fall and halloween decor and this year I ended up putting most of it back in the bin. I couldn’t find a home for everything even though I really love some of the decor pieces. Instead of forcing it and putting it out on a counter or surface- I just put it back and it feels great to have less to move around when I’m wiping counters. Although I did make room for this hand lettered quote on my countertop this year, I love it so much! You can grab it for free right here!
I did add a couple new things to my decor this year though! I shared a Dollar Store DIY video this past weekend that I made the wall hanging in the entryway, the wreath on the front door and those pumpkins on the coffee table. They all turned out amazing, I bet you didn’t think they were dollars store!
Last but not least, in the primary bedroom I moved one of our outdoor end tables in so I could bring a pumpkin and some fall florals in here as well. I’m loving how this adds a place for me to set down my coffee in the morning and usually my hair clip when I head to bed!
The other little table here in the bedroom is featuring this fall dried floral arrangement. I blogged about it a couple weeks ago- all these flowers are dried! It was really easy to dry flowers, I’m not sure why I thought it would be more difficult but if you are interested, I put together a full post about it along with a list of the best flowers for drying.
I’m going to leave it at that! I hope that you enjoyed our fall home tour this year, if you’re interested, you can see all my past home tours right here. And if you’re here on the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Series Home Tours… your next stop is off to Finding Silver Pennies!
I hope this has given you some inspiration to get decorating your own home for the season… even just a little bit! ;)
