Hey guys, Varsha (from Designforsoul.com) here! The long weekend is here and I’m sure many of you will be planning trips/picnics/ getaways with friends and family. So today’s DIY project is all about making your snack boxes fun and interesting. This is something kids would enjoy making as well. Don’t worry even if you are not going anywhere , these emoji snack boxes will be a hit even for your backyard parties.
Going with the emoji trend, I thought it would be fun to make them with small wooden pieces instead of paper. This way you can reuse them as emoji pins/broaches on t-shirts, bags , gift boxes and so many other applications. Today however, we are using them to make fun little snack boxes. Follow along for the tutorial.
What you need:
Glue, pre-cut wooden discs (available in craft store), craft paint & markers.
How to: I’m using open faced boxes for this one but you could use any shape of your choice. Paint them with stripes (using pink & blue for this one) and let them dry. Now paint the wooden discs with yellow craft paint (acrylic) and draw the emojis of your choice with sharpie pens. Stick them on to the boxes and let it dry.
Hope you enjoyed this DIY and will give it a try. Share your projects with us on Instagram @designforsoul @colleenpastoor. Plus, I love to feature your DIYs, just hashtag #dsfprojects. It’s always fun to see other people getting inspired!
Happy weekend!
