If you haven’t been inundated with ooey-gooey grilled cheese goodness this past week, you’re about to. That’s because it’s Grilled Cheese Month! What’s more, it’s Grilled Cheese Day on Saturday… so while I’m not going to devote all of April to grilled cheese making (although BS’in the Kitchen did last year and I’m forever grateful), you’ve got two coming at you this week. First (today) I’m rounding up all the most delicious looking grilled cheese recipes on the web, then later this week I’m going to share one of my own. (I did the same thing with PB recipes earlier this year)
First up is all the savory goodness you see above. Are you drooling yet?
ONE: Why wouldn’t you try this Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese by Simply Scratch- those appies are made by angels and to transform them to a dinner? Genious.
TWO: This one is from BS’in the Kitchen’s grilled cheese marathon last year and looks like the richest out of them all. Meet the Caramelized Onion, Mushroom, and Brie Grilled Cheese.
THREE: Another appie turned meal, Taste and Tell brings us the Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese! Seriously though, I perused a hundred different recipes like this one and this one stands out as the best to me. Well, maybe not a hundred- but I think you’re getting the picture that I spent WAY too much time drooling over grilled cheese recipes this week.
FOUR: I’ve had this recipe pinned forever. Every time we get squash I tell my husband we need to make it. There’s no better time than now, right? Just imagine these flavours: Caramelized Butternut Squash, Roasted Garlic and Coconut Butter Grilled Cheese (fontina that is.) Thank you How Sweet It Is for this one.
FIVE: My husband has been on a pulled pork kick lately, so when I saw this I knew I needed to hold onto it for him: Closet Cooking’s BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese. But we’d totally pass on the slaw.
SIX: We have a micro-brewery in town that has a dynamite restaurant. One of the appies I used to order regularly was their mac and cheese bites- they were SO good. Sadly, they’re about five menu changes ago. This grilled cheese recipe brought back happy memories. Again, from BS’in the Kitchen: Mach and Cheese Grilled Cheese.
SEVEN: Last, but certainly not least Betty Crocker brings us a few of our favourite things wrapped in bread: Beer Battered Bacon Grilled Cheese.
Next up is light (ish), fresh grilled cheeses. If those first grilled cheeses were winter, these would be summer.
ONE: The Green Goddess has been all over Pinterest but it’s so fresh and fabulous that it’s worth mentioning. Tastespotting added goat cheese, mozza, and avocado to pesto- and I can’t get enough.
TWO: When I worked front desk at a hotel, the restaurant we had served lemon chicken ciabatta. Basically this grilled cheese with chicken. I had one almost every day it was so good. That restaurant is long gone, but I’m still loving this sandwich. Check the recipe out: Lemon Basil Grilled Cheese from the Lemon Bowl.
THREE: This might be the one I’m most excited about. BS’in the Kitchen (again) rocked it out of the park with their Smoked Salmon Bagel Grilled Cheese. There’s a little shop in Vancouver I love to visit that serves these bagels (not the grilled cheese version) so I’m thrilled I can make a version at home.
FOUR: This guy is so fresh it belongs in the heat of summer: Grilled Havarti, Dill and Cucumber on Rye from Babble.
Alright guys, last batch and it’s the sweetest. That means you can have one after you’ve already had grilled cheese for dinner (I went there).
ONE: This little guy sounds decadent. Bless Her Heart brings us Mascarpone, Nutella & Banana Grilled Cheese. I’m actually really hoping to try this one. I’ve never had Mascarpone before!
TWO: The Bianca Dessert Grilled Cheese from Nutmeg Nanny features more Mascarpone but also dulce de leche among other tasty bits.
THREE: I’d probably give this one the creativity award: Shutterbean brings us the Pumpkin Grilled Cheese with Hazelnut Butter. Love me some pumpkin. The cheese? Mozza.
FOUR: The final one is sweet and simple. Think- what’s the one sweet ingredient we’ve been missing? Chocolate! I’ve got brie in my fridge so today I’m tackling the Chocolate and Brie Grilled Cheese from Just a Taste.
There you have it! I’m going to leave you with all that gooey goodness in your mind and will be back thursday with a grilled cheese of my own to share with you! For now, I’m off to our place to work on sanding the floors (which is looking SO good by the way!).

How could you possibly eat healthy when there’s so much cheese in the world? I was planning to eat better too, but in all honesty I’ve made 3 this week already!

This post is unreal – not only are your graphics amazing, but the recipes look oh.so.delicious. My wisconsin husband was raised on cheese and going to fall in love all over again when he sees this. But seriously – you should send your work to restaurants so they can hire you to do spreads and blog posts and adverts for them – this is awesome :)
