Autumn is totally in the air where I live and I’m pretty happy to be embracing it with sweaters, fall branch clippings, pumpkins and… lettering! Today I’m joining up with a few other hand lettering bloggers I love to bring you some fall themed hand lettered printables and tutorials. You can find them all at the bottom of this post, but for mine? You probably guessed it… a hand lettering practice sheet!
You guys always seem to love these practice sheets and I really love making them, so I’m just going to keep pumping them out when we do these hand lettering collaborations until you tell me to stop! Autumn is actually one of my favourite words to letter. I love the ‘t’ right smack dab in the centre of the word and how that cross bar can be used to flourish to create something really beautiful. Honestly… I think as long as you make that cross bar lovely, you could get away with anything on the rest of the letters. Too far? Ha! I don’t know!
If this is your first time downloading a hand lettering practice sheet… let me tell you a little bit about it! For this one, I’ve hand lettered the word ‘Autumn’ in 6 different styles. From sans serif to flourished to both challenge you to try a style that’s outside of your comfort zone and to help you identify the shapes of letters you love! Did I mention it’s plain fun to play around with the different styles?
There are three ways that I love to use hand lettering practice sheets. I made a video demonstrating these a while back so you can check that out RIGHT HERE!
But I know what you’re really here for… not my chatter, but the freebie! Just click the linked text below to open up the PDF document. Print it up and you’re good to go! This one is sized best for a smaller brush pen such as a Tombow Fude.

As always, please keep in mind my printables are for personal use only. If you’re loving the practice sheets… you can check out all of mine RIGHT HERE! And if you want more fall lettering? Be sure to check out all the Fall lettering projects in the blog hop today!
